Oddly, the build and serial would seem to bear this out: the serial number, instead of being cross-ways on the back of the lower stack, was incised longways on the side. Penzel Mueller was the only company I know of that did this, and the serial would date a PM to the late 30's/early 40's. Noblet paris alto saxophone will need a few pads corks and adj to be in perfect playing condition serial #11694.

Noblet Saxophone Serial Numbers 5200000
This Noblet features original lacquer on the body and original nickel plated keywork. The finish is all in great shape with only mild wear, typical of normal use. There's a couple tiny dings which we will remove before shipping, including a slightly-pushed thumbrest and minor bend in the bell flare. All will be corrected in our shop. Pads are sealing well with metal resonators, and these too will be checked by our repair team before the horn ships. We'll make sure everything is in tip-top shape.
Noblet Sax Serial Numbers
This soprano plays with a clear, concise attack, and good response throughout the range of the instrument. It feels solid in your hands and has a nice heft, and the palm key layout is similar to what you'd find on a Selmer Mark VI. Ships in a hard case.
