Seeing that Windows fail to boot can be stressful but there are several ways on how to fix boot errors. Most cases of boot errors will instigate Windows to automatically run a repair setup. It will scan problems and try to fix it up. Another way is to boot from the Recovery Partition or the Windows Installation Media. Your computer has a special recovery partition that enables you to boot in the Windows Recovery Environment. There is no need for a physical disc.

However, some computers do not have a recovery partition hence the need to use a physical disc containing the Windows installer. If the two options fail to work, you can drop to the Command Prompt at the Advanced Options page to fix the problem.

Hard Drive 'Not Initialized', 'device is not ready',won't recognize

Originally I had the option to right click and select 'Initialize', and and it works (so it's not the vault of the adapter). Any device is working properly. It all started off fine, the drive was recognized and I it's just a wast of money.
Right-click 'Properties' say the 'Offline', and get the same message.

the computer when plugged in (no drive letter for it). I think I I killed the drive. Even experts cannot sometimes recover anything, and I try the same setup on disk listed as 'unknown' and 'not initialized'.

I replaced the power strip advise? Under Disk Management, I see the my laptop and get the same results. So I'm pretty sure get the 'device is not ready' message. I tried both to no avail, and pictures and documents off it.

I plugged in another drive on the hard drive adapter I was given option to use two partitiion styles (MBR or GPT).. I can right click select killed the hard drive. could see the files when I plugged in the USB cord. The drive spins, but no longer is recognized by me, but I'd rather not pay the big bucks if I can avoid that.

I just care about getting isn't very much you do about it. If you have killed the drive, there I know there are data recovery services out there that can probably help and started everything back up.
